Morpheus

Morpheus 8 – what is it?

Morpheus8 is a treatment that combines micro needling with radiofrequency energy to promote collagen production, tighten the skin, remodel tissue, and generally improve texture, tone, and wrinkles on the face, neck and body. Tiny needles cause a controlled micro-trauma and simultaneously deliver a heat energy to the deeper dermis. This triggers the body’s natural healing response, reorganising structural tissues and stimulating collagen for firmer, smoother and more youthful skin.

Morpheus8 is great for treating/improving most of the signs of ageing including, lines, wrinkles and loosening skin on the face and body. It is great for uneven skin tone and texture and is great for improving scarring, sun damage and stretch marks.

Who is this suitable for?

Morpheus 8 is suitable for anyone wanting to improve their skin tone, texture and quality on their face, neck and or body. It can also be used as a preventative measure to bank collagen. Treatment can be generalised, or it can be used to target specific areas of concern.

If you are at the start of your aesthetics journey, then this is a great way of improving your canvas on show to the world. If you have had prior aesthetic treatments, Morpheus 8 will work well to enhance them.

It is not suitable for those with metal implants in their face and jaw. It is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breast feeding. Allow two weeks after having dermal filler treatment before having Morpheus 8.

How many treatments?

Most people have a course of 3 treatments usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart, but they can be tailored to fit around your schedule. Maintenance is recommended with 1 treatment per year on average.

Does it hurt?

It causes minimal discomfort. We bring you into clinic 1hr ahead of your appointment time and apply local anaesthetic cream/ointment to numb the area. Typically, the discomfort is rates as 2-3/10 after numbing.

What is the downtime?

There is very little downtime. The neck typically reacts more than the face and can be slower to settle. Redness immediately afterwards is typical and short-lived within the same day usually. It is common to get a slight pimply, chicken-skin appearance to the neck that can last a couple of weeks. This is not usually visible to others. It is rare to bruise though this is possible, especially when treating around the eyes.

When will I see results?

Initial results can be seen within a few days. The full results will be seen at the 3-month mark after allowing for maximal stimulation and boost of your skin elasticity

How can I boost results further?

We now have amazing exosomes available to be applied immediately after your treatment in clinic with the remainder of the vial to be applied at home later the same day. Exosomes are tiny plant-cell derived messengers to further stimulate repair and renewal, reduce any downtime and enhance results further.

Morpheus 8 can be combined with polynucleotide injections (done between your treatments) to further improve the under-eye area or areas of scarring and ageing. It can also be combined with Profhilo between treatments to boost the collagen burst and stimulate further glow by flooding the treatment area with pure and hydrating hyaluronic acid.

Maintenance

Most people chose to have 1 maintenance treatment per year. Some of our customers come in every 6 months for a boost.

What won’t it do?

Morpheus 8 is not a surgical facelift. Be realistic. It will improve and tighten your skin The results will be influenced by your starting point. You can have 4 treatments if we think your skin needs it.

Any risks?

We now have extensive experience of this device having used it since 2021 and having treated more than 1000 people. We have been able to develop protocols to suit specific concerns and conditions. We treat the neck delicately and sensitively.  We always individualise your treatment by choosing microneedle depth and selecting radiofrequency energy settings to suit your and your skin tolerance. Your biggest risk is a little bruise.
